Allotment Open Day 2016
A massive thank you to everyone who contributed at this years Open Day, which was part of Scotland's Gardens Open Day 2016 and we thank them for their kind support.
The plots were looking great, we had a lovely spread of cakes and home grown produce, a basket weaving workshop, the apple press on loan from PEDAL was a big hit, and to accompany it all we had some amazing live music.
It really was a great team effort and a huge success.
It was good to see our local MSP Ash Denham and representatives from Tommy Sheppard's parliamentary office, who all enjoyed the good company and cakes.
We had over 70 paying visitors, lots of children and even a few dogs.
What a great event.
A big thank you to Biopac who kindly donated the eco-friendly cups and plates, Cook in Morningside for the donation of lovely tray bakes and to Morrisons for donating apples to press into juice.
