

Allotments feature in Art Walk Porty 2018
FESTOON Festoon is a walk inspired by historical fairground illuminations and explores our experience of urban darkness. It will take place after dark in and around Portobello. Walking slowly in a line, 12 participants will carry portable, lighted frames around the darker spaces in Portobello - spaces that can be ‘lost’ after dark - creating a walking illumination. What a fantastic Open Day!
The plots were looking fantastic, the sun shone and people excelled themselves with some amazing creations for the yarn bombing. We had 233 paying visitors and around 40 children who all had a great time trying to find the knitted animals and vegetables on the Yarn Bomb Trail.
